This is another entry for
 's contest. I used the same idea I did with the first entry, Brothers. These characters are from the book, To Light A Candle by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory, 2nd in the Obsidian Trilogy. The dragon is Acalandar (sp?), the elf riding him is Jermayan. And the girl in front, is Vestakia. Vestakia is a demon, that's why she has horns and her skin has a redish tint to it. I named this Lost in a Storm because it was one of the rules for the contest and because it looks as if they are lost in a winter storm.  I had a lot of fun painting this picture. It took me about two hours non-stop and I think it's my best yet. I mostly used airbrush which was a big help with the highlights and shadows. |
